Does Money Equal Happiness?

Its tranquility. Their happiness. The return of his life. How much does these things cost? Can you buy at Whole Foods or Trader Joes? Can you get a good deal online at Amazon? It is not a question of money. Or is the money?

Gallup, the American Institute of Public Opinion conducted a study in which country had the largest number of people happy. They found that countries with the happiest were the poorest. El Salvador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago. Wait a minute! The happiest people are not among the poorest in the world? What's going on? More on that in a moment.

On the other hand, Princeton University did a study and found that people earn more money, are actually happier. But once the people's income was over $ 75,000 and have not reported higher levels of happiness.I know plenty of uber rich people who are unhappy. They mansions, caviar, Ferraris, hair gel (still reading?) Yates, art, and lots of Veuve Cliquot. But they are not happy. Why? Because happiness comes from within, from the inside, not what you have. You really have to decide to be happy. Tal Ben Shahar, a famous Harvard professor, says that happiness is something that is working. This is not a destination, but a journey hard.

Art Buchwald said, "the best things in life are not things." I totally agree. I think that the best things in life are experiences. Birthday parties, anniversaries, walks on the beach, vacations, a great cup of coffee, weddings, newborns holders, do puzzles with the kids - I could go on and on. While some of these experiences cost money, it is not necessary to be rich to have them. They really do not cost a fortune. Some of them are free, and that's why some of the poorest countries seem to be happier. They appreciate the little things in life, and learn to be grateful for what we have.

However, having money makes things easier. The money we can highlight, especially if we have enough to buy the things we need. Many of my clients say they do not want to have to worry about money. They want to have enough money to not have to think about money. They can simply buy or do whatever they want whenever they want. The financial situation can take some serious time to achieve, but why not work for it? You will be happier than you grow, develop, and try to make more money.
